Opportunity might never come again [Part 1]

Yu Meng Meng remembered in the book, this man has a lot of money, and his family power is vast and deeply rooted in this country. Therefore he can be said to have money and power. No matter this book setting is realistic or not, the book is now her reality, so everything in the book might come true. A lot of people might not believe that a four-year-old boy and an adult could look so much alike, but the similarity between the two is 9 out of 10 points. As long as someone has seen the two of them, they will know that they are father and son.

Yu Meng Meng narrowed her eyes slightly. Their family of three had been struggling to live. They lived in a small, dimly lit attic, and her Mommy owed a lot of debts to raise her and her brother. Every day her Mommy works until night, and even though she was tired, she still has to do their laundry and housework. She was often bullied by the guests or her boss when she was working.

Once, Mommy accidentally offended her boss, so she was suddenly arranged to go on a business trip when she was off duty. She was threatened that her salary would be deducted if she did not agree. At that time, their family was already so poor that they couldn’t even afford the twin’s tuition fee, and they still have to pay for the rent, so Mommy couldn’t have her salary deducted. Therefore she asked Aunt Gu Fei to take care of them.

Yu Meng Meng still remembers that night clearly. There was heavy rain that night. There was even thunder and lightning outside. Aunt Gu Fei couldn’t get to their house for a while. The brother and sister shrank in fear in the attic. She was so scared that she was crying. Yu Hao was also crying while hugging her and coaxing her not to cry. That was the night they have been the most afraid in their lives.

Through her drooping eyelashes, Yu Meng Meng could see the man was wearing rough camouflage clothing, but the watch on her wrist was exposed and reflected the beautiful glow of the sun. At first glance, everyone would know that it was costly.

Why? Their family lived such a difficult life, but the one who caused it lived a good life in wealth, not responsible for his action at all!

Yu Meng Meng felt her eyes swell, then wiped her tears with her small hands. She was feeling uncomfortable in her heart. At that moment, a vicious idea appeared, one that a child should not have in their heart. She thought to let this man die like this because he was the caused of their sad life.

Of course, this idea soon disappeared. The little girl was at a loss for a moment and thought that she couldn’t just let him off. He must be made to pay for his actions.

Yu Meng Meng stood up from the ground, the little girl walked around the man and finally decided that since he was so rich, it was better to find a way to get some money from him.

With that decision in her heart, Yu Meng Meng squatted in front of him again, with her small hand she started to search his pocket, and finally found a mobile phone in the man’s pants pocket.

Password is required to unlock the phone, but there is an emergency call on the unlock screen which can be used to call for help – Yu Meng Meng has learned this from the teacher at school – her little finger clicked the emergency call and dialed 120.

The phone soon connected, the operator asked for the reason for the call and location of the caller.

Yu Meng Meng held the phone and looked around, then said: “Hi, auntie, I saw an uncle on the roadside, he fainted, and he was all bloody. Umm, the address is on Yinghai Road at the intersection of Xinyuan Road. Umm, this phone is his, come here quickly. Otherwise, he will die.”

After talking on the phone, Yu Meng Meng looked down at the man, he was still quietly lying on the ground, his lip was abnormally purple, and his face seemed pale due to excessive blood loss. She looked at the mobile phone in her hand again. The phone lock screen was a photo of a family in a restaurant. It should be taken at night, with the glowing yellow light, making it looked very warm. Do not know whether the photo was taken by him or come with the phone.

Yu Meng Meng pursed her lips, hoping that it comes with the phone. If it was a photo of his current family taken by him, then she will not let him meet Yu Hao, and they will never recognize him as their father.

The ambulance soon arrived, the medical staff carefully carried the man on the stretcher, during which the man did not wake up. It seems that his injury was severe. As the male lead in the novel, usually even if he was dying, he will try to stay awake.

Yu Meng Meng held the mobile phone in her hand, and raised her hand then said, “Aunt and Uncle doctor, I want to go too.”

The doctors did not know her relationship with the man but saw her holding the phone, so they let her in the car, thinking that she was the man’s relative.

The First People’s Hospital of Nandao City* was very close. After the ambulance arrived at the hospital, the man was quickly pushed into the operating room. Sure enough, when the doctors cut the camouflage clothes on the man, he finally woke up. Seeing the surgical lamp above his head and the strange doctors around him, he almost broke away from the surgical bed and caused the wound to open again. After the medical staff explained the situation to him, he finally calmed down, but he refused the general anesthesia.

(*The literal meaning is South Island City but I decided to use Nandao City instead.)

He was extremely injured. He had a very dangerous gunshot wound on his chest, and there was poison on his body, which might be the reason why he had been unconscious before. The situation was dangerous. If he was given general anesthesia, he might sleep on the operating table forever.

Of course, the doctors were relieved that he woke up in time, and he was able to sign the document for his surgery and pay for medical bills and so on. Yu Meng Meng didn’t know all of this. This surgery was likely done at night, so she waited outside the operating room for a while, then she called Aunt Gu Fei using the man’s mobile phone.

*****************

And that is part 1 of the second chapter of The Ceo’s Cute and Delicate Daughter. I will split one chapter into 2 parts and try to release one part of the chapter everyday. Also the first chapter has already been translated by fuyuneko (split into 3 parts) and you might found out that the surname was different. On their website, the surname of the main character was Lu, but on the site that I used, the surname was Yu. Therefore I will go with Yu.
There might be some errors in the translation or grammar, if you find it, please inform me, and I will correct it later.
